Falmadair is a charitable organisation based in the Isle of Lewis that was established in 2005, principally to restore and manage the community owned sgoth Niseach (Ness type fishing skiff) on behalf of Comunn Eachdraidh Nis (Ness Historical Society)

Falmadair's key priorities are:
to maintain and continue to enjoy the historically important former Ness type fishing skiff (sgoth Niseach), Jubilee
to provide a better understanding of the rich maritime history of the Hebrides
to offer the public an opportunity to sail or learn sailing skills on Jubilee

In order to meet the above aims we appreciate that a strong and enthusiastic membership base is required to support the organisation.  That membership support can take various forms, such as: helping to maintain or crew the boat; being involved in committee or promotional work; offering charitable donations or sponsorship; or indeed simply taking out annual membership to generally support Falmadair and the charitable and voluntary work that it does

Membership is a relatively easy process and your support would be much appreciated
